The Tavern-Cafe “Akrotiri Panorama” is located in South Crete, just 38 km from Rethymno and 30 km from Sfakia and 2 km from Rodakino. The visitor here can taste traditional flavors, such as tea grown in the area and traditional dishes cooked by the women of the village made from pure local products.
PLACES TO VISIT
The visitor who is willing to discover the surrounding area has a wealth of choices and activities. Stunning beaches that extend to the southern side of the Prefecture, from Agios Pavlos beach with its sand dunes, Triopetra, Ligres, Preveli beach with its lake, river and palm grove, Schinaria beach and Ammoudi with its crystal blue waters, the cosmopolitan beach of Plakias, Souda, the quiet beaches of Korakas, Polyrizos and Peristeres in the village of Rodakino, Orthi Ammos near Frangokastello and many more.
It is worth a visit to the Monastery of Preveli and a walk through the gorges of Kotsifou and Kourtaliotis with their magnificent waterfalls. The historic “Frangokastello” is also nearby, and if you are lucky, you might catch a concert there.
